French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France and the United Kingdom will jointly launch a workshop focused on security guarantees for Ukraine. The initiative aims to explore measures to strengthen Ukraine’s security amid ongoing regional tensions.
According to officials, the workshop will bring together experts, policymakers, and defence officials from both countries to discuss practical steps and strategies for providing security assurances, including coordination with international partners.
President Macron emphasised that the collaboration reflects France and the UK’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The discussions are expected to cover diplomatic, military, and strategic aspects of security guarantees.
Both nations intend for the workshop to serve as a platform for actionable recommendations, fostering deeper cooperation and alignment on measures that enhance Ukraine’s safety and stability in the region.
