Jammu, Nov 27: At least 13 people were injured when a passenger bus rammed into a flyover pillar near Jammu on Wednesday evening. Police officials confirmed that the accident occurred along the highway stretch, causing panic among commuters and leading to a temporary disruption of traffic.
Eyewitnesses reported that the bus lost control before colliding with the pillar, leaving several passengers trapped inside. Rescue teams and local authorities rushed to the spot, with injured individuals immediately shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Medical staff stated that most of the injured sustained fractures and minor head injuries, while a few remain under observation. No fatalities were reported at the time of filing this report.
Traffic police said preliminary investigations suggest overspeeding as the likely cause of the accident. The vehicle has been seized and a case registered, with further inquiries underway to determine accountability.
