Srinagar, Nov 27: The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) visited Sopore to review the functioning of educational institutions and interact with staff and stakeholders. During the visit, the Director acknowledged the shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff in the area and assured that rationalisation measures would be undertaken to address the issue.

Officials noted that several schools in Sopore are facing challenges due to uneven distribution of staff, affecting classroom management and overall learning outcomes. The Director emphasized that rationalisation of human resources is a priority to ensure equitable deployment across institutions.

In discussions with local education officers and community representatives, the Director highlighted the importance of strengthening infrastructure, improving student support services, and enhancing accountability in the system. He assured that the department is committed to resolving staffing gaps and improving the quality of education delivery.

The visit concluded with directions to field officers to prepare detailed reports on staff requirements and to recommend measures for effective utilisation of available resources. The DSEK reiterated that the department will continue to engage with stakeholders to ensure better educational outcomes in Sopore and across the region.
