Raipur Hosts 60th DGP-IGP Conference: PM Modi Reviews Progress, Outlines Roadmap for Surakshit Bharat
Raipur, November 30, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 60th All India DGP-IGP Conference at the Indian Institute of Management, Raipur. The three-day conference, held from November 28 to 30, brought together Directors General and Inspectors General of Police from across the country, along with senior officials including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
Under the theme “Viksit Bharat: Security Dimensions,” the conference focused on aligning national security strategies with India’s developmental vision. Prime Minister Modi reviewed progress on key policing challenges and outlined a forward-looking roadmap for Surakshit Bharat, emphasizing modernization, technology integration, and enhanced coordination among agencies.
Discussions covered critical issues such as counter-terrorism, left-wing extremism, women’s safety, narcotics control, disaster management, and the use of forensic science and artificial intelligence in investigations. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of strengthening intelligence synergy and community policing to ensure a secure environment for citizens.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah underscored the need for improved intelligence coordination and operational efficiency, while NSA Ajit Doval emphasized the role of technology-driven strategies in addressing emerging threats. The conference reaffirmed its role as a strategic forum for shaping long-term internal security policies and operational frameworks.
The roadmap for Surakshit Bharat, as outlined by Prime Minister Modi, is expected to influence policing strategies, resource allocation, and technological adoption across India, reinforcing security as a cornerstone of the national vision for Viksit Bharat.
