Srinagar, November 30: In a significant administrative move, the Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has ordered the transfer and posting of more than 90 officers across departments, corporations and institutions.
The reshuffle, issued under Government Order No. 381-F of 2025 dated November 29, has been carried out “in the interest of administration” with immediate effect.
The order covers senior positions including Directors, Financial Advisors, Chief Accounts Officers and Treasury Officers. Among the key changes, Rajesh Talwar, Director Finance, Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, has been posted as Principal, Northern Zonal Accountancy Training Institute, Jammu, replacing Bharti Sambhyal. Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, Director Finance, Transport Department, will take charge as Director Resources, Finance Department after the retirement of Showkat Hussain Mir on December 31. Abdul Majid Bhat, Director Finance, Higher Education Department, has been shifted to the General Administration Department.
Other notable postings include Satnam Singh as Director Finance, Disaster Management, Relief & Rehabilitation Department; Latif Ahmad Poswal as Director Finance, Home Department; Manzoor Ahmad Wani as Director Finance, SKIMS Soura; and Ramesh Singh as Director Finance, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra.
The government said the reshuffle is aimed at strengthening financial oversight, improving efficiency and ensuring accountability across critical sectors. Officials noted that such transfers are routine measures to maintain transparency and streamline governance.
