An unidentified man was found lying unconscious at the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) ground in Srinagar on Friday morning. Eyewitnesses alerted authorities after spotting the individual, who was immediately shifted to hospital. Doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings to establish the identity of the deceased. The body has been sent for medico-legal formalities. Further details are awaited.
