Srinagar, Dec 5: Cold weather conditions showed signs of improvement in Kashmir on Friday as night temperatures rose slightly across the Valley, officials said.

In Srinagar, the mercury settled at 0.4 degrees Celsius, offering some relief after several days of sub-zero conditions. The rise in temperature eased the intensity of the cold, though the chill in the air remained noticeable during early morning and late evening hours.

Weather officials said other parts of the Valley also recorded a marginal increase in minimum temperatures. The improvement has been attributed to a change in local weather patterns, though the region continues to experience dry conditions.

Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious during morning travel as frost and thin layers of ice may still form on roads and pathways. Further updates on the weather outlook are expected in the coming days.
