Srinagar, Dec 5: Air travel in the Valley was disrupted on Friday as 10 IndiGo flights were cancelled at Srinagar airport due to operational issues, officials said.
Passengers arriving at the terminal in the morning were informed about the cancellations, leading to inconvenience for those scheduled to travel to Delhi and other destinations. Long queues formed at airline counters as travellers sought rebooking and refunds.
Airport authorities said the cancellations were linked to operational disruptions faced by the airline, while other carriers continued to operate their scheduled services. Efforts were made to accommodate affected passengers on later flights wherever possible.
Officials added that the situation was being monitored closely to ensure smooth operations and minimise inconvenience. They advised passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport in the coming days.
