Jammu, Dec 6: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police has been booked in Jammu after allegedly assaulting a two-wheeler rider in full public view, officials said on Saturday. The incident, which took place in a busy area of the city, drew sharp criticism from locals and passersby.
According to police sources, the ASI was accused of manhandling the rider during a routine traffic check. Eyewitnesses claimed that the officer used excessive force, leading to outrage among the public. The matter was subsequently reported to senior authorities.
