Srinagar, 11 December 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday conducted searches at multiple locations in Sopore in connection with a case linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Hurriyat. The operation was carried out as part of an ongoing investigation into activities associated with the proscribed organisation.

Police teams, acting on specific inputs, searched several premises after obtaining warrants from the competent court. Officials said the searches were aimed at tracing evidence related to individuals suspected of having links with the banned outfit.

During the operation, police examined documents, digital devices and other material that may assist in the investigation. The seized items have been sent for technical analysis to determine their relevance to the case.

Officials said the searches form part of a broader effort to identify networks and individuals involved in activities that could threaten public order and security. Further investigation is underway.
