Jammu 12, 2025 : Jammu (Rural) Police have cracked the recent firing incident reported from the Marh area, leading to the swift arrest of all five accused involved in the case. The action followed a complaint filed by Jatinder Singh Rajan, son of Surinder Singh and resident of Marh, after which a case was registered at Police Station Domana under FIR No. 258/2025 for offences under Sections 3/4/25/27 of the Arms Act and Section 191(2) BNS.
A police team led by Insp. Varuneshwar, SHO Domana, conducted multiple raids at different locations and successfully apprehended all five accused. The arrested individuals have been identified as:
1. Ripu Daman Singh Jamwal, son of Shubhdeep Singh Jamwal, resident of Mubarak Mandi.
2. Akshay Sharma, son of Late Rajesh Sharma, resident of Ragunath Pura, Jammu.
3. Vikrant Kesar, son of Late Rakesh Kesar, resident of Marh, Jammu.
4. Rohan Goswami, son of Late Mohinder Pal, resident of Gujjar Nagar.
5. Abhinesh Singh, son of Sudarshan Singh, resident of Dogra Hall, Rehari, Jammu.
During the operation, the police recovered one country-made pistol (Katta) used in the incident, along with one live round and one fired cartridge. Four sharp-edged weapons were also seized from their possession. Additionally, one scooty and one motorcycle used in the commission of the offence were taken into custody.
The prompt and coordinated efforts of Jammu (Rural) Police led to the timely identification and arrest of all five accused, reinforcing public confidence and strengthening the sense of security among residents of the Marh area.
