Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front, Hakeem Yaseen, has urged the Centre to take immediate steps to end the prevailing political chaos in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the prolonged uncertainty has deeply affected governance, development and public confidence across the region.

Yaseen stated that the absence of an elected government has created a vacuum that continues to impact day‑to‑day administration and the delivery of essential services. He said people are looking for a clear political roadmap that restores democratic processes and ensures accountability in governance.

He appealed to the Centre to initiate meaningful measures that can pave the way for political stability, revive public institutions and address the concerns of citizens who have been facing prolonged uncertainty.

Yaseen added that restoring a stable political environment is essential for strengthening peace, boosting development and ensuring that the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir are addressed in a transparent and democratic manner.
