Rajouri Police, in coordination with the Traffic Department, conducted an intensive enforcement drive across the district to ensure strict compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act and strengthen road safety.

Police Station Kandi registered four separate cases against passenger vehicle operators for overloading, a violation that endangers commuters and breaches MV Act provisions.

As part of a focused checking initiative, District Police and Traffic Police jointly inspected vehicles registered outside the Union Territory that had not been transferred in the name of the current owner.

Total Challans Issued: 126

Total Vehicles Seized: 17, including 8 for non-transfer of ownership of outside-UT vehicles

Jammu and Kashmir Police has urged the public to follow traffic regulations and advised owners of vehicles registered outside J&K to complete ownership transfer formalities without delay.
