The Lieutenant Governor today met the families of the personnel who lost their lives in the accidental blast at Nowgam and assured them of all possible support from the administration. During the interaction, he handed over appointment letters to the next of kin as part of the government’s commitment to stand by the families of the martyrs.
The LG expressed deep condolences and acknowledged the sacrifice made by the deceased personnel, noting that their service and dedication would always be remembered. He said the administration remains committed to the welfare of the families and will continue to extend assistance wherever required.
Officials accompanying the LG said the appointment letters were issued in accordance with the established policy for the families of personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty. They added that the concerned departments have been directed to ensure timely completion of all formalities.
The families thanked the LG for the support and the prompt action taken by the administration following the incident. The government reiterated that it will continue to monitor the welfare measures being extended to the affected families.
