ED Conducts Searches at 40 Locations in ISIS-Linked Saquib Nachan Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out searches at 40 locations across multiple states as part of its investigation into an alleged ISIS-linked network associated with Saquib Nachan. The searches were conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to trace suspected financial transactions and support channels connected to the case.

According to officials, the operation covered premises linked to individuals and entities believed to be involved in facilitating or funding activities connected to the network. Digital devices, documents and other materials relevant to the probe were reportedly examined during the searches.

The case stems from earlier investigations by central agencies into alleged radicalisation efforts, recruitment attempts and financial links associated with ISIS-inspired modules. The ED’s action aims to identify the money trail and uncover any financial structures that may have supported the activities under scrutiny.

The agency is expected to continue examining the seized material as part of its wider investigation into the network’s operations and possible links to individuals across different states.
