District Police Poonch, continuing its efforts to curb illegal activities, laid a naka at Fazla Abad where seven bovines being transported illegally were rescued during checking.
Legal action was initiated on the spot, and two vehicles involved in the illegal transportation were seized. In this connection, the following cases have been registered at Police Station Surankote under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS):
1. FIR No. 286/2025 U/S 223 BNS
2. FIR No. 287/2025 U/S 223 BNS
The rescued bovines have been taken into safe custody as per due procedure. Further investigation is underway in both cases to identify and proceed against all individuals involved.
District Police Poonch reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order and urged the public to cooperate by sharing credible information.
