The district administration on Tuesday said it is actively working to ascertain the exact cause behind the recent incident at the shrine, even as a team of experts from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) visited the site for a detailed assessment.
Deputy Commissioner stated that all concerned departments have been put on alert and a coordinated effort is underway to ensure a transparent and scientific examination of the situation. “The administration is fully on the job to identify the cause and take appropriate corrective measures,” the DC said.
The SKUAST team conducted an on-spot inspection of the shrine premises, collecting samples and evaluating environmental and structural factors that could have contributed to the incident. Officials said the expert team will submit its report after completing the analysis.
Meanwhile, the administration has assured devotees and local residents that there is no cause for panic and all necessary safety measures are being taken. Further action will be initiated based on the findings of the investigation, officials added.
