Rajouri, December 19, 2025: In a proactive move to enhance road safety and promote the wellbeing of vehicle operators, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri, Rajesh Gupta, in collaboration with the Health & AYUSH Department, organised a free medical check-up camp today at the Fitness Trial Ground in Rajouri.
During the camp, 110 drivers underwent medical examinations conducted by a team of doctors and paramedical staff. They were advised on the importance of regular health check-ups to prevent road accidents caused by sudden health-related incapacitation while driving.
Participants were also educated on the significance of operating well-maintained vehicles, highlighting that vehicle fitness plays a key role in ensuring safety for both drivers and commuters.
Special awareness was raised about safe driving practices during the winter season, with drivers cautioned to exercise extra care on slippery roads and during periods of reduced visibility.
ARTO Rajouri, Rajesh Gupta, reiterated the department’s commitment to road safety and assured that similar health and awareness initiatives will continue in the future to ensure safer roads and healthier drivers in the district.
Officials from the Health & AYUSH Department, along with staff from the Transport Department, were present and actively contributed to the successful conduct of the camp.
