The Ministry of Home Affairs has promoted 14 Indian Police Service officers of the AGMUT cadre to the Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) in Level-12 of the Pay Matrix, with effect from January 1, 2026.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on December 19, 2025, the officers promoted include Bisma Qazi, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Sumit Kumar Jha, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Tanushree, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Sahil Sarangal, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Sachin Kumar Singhal, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Rahul Gupta, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Narra Chaitanya, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Anayat Ali Choudhary, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Nikhil Borkar, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Aishwarya Sharma, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Mohita Sharma, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Rajneesh Garg, IPS (AGMUT: 2017); Hareesh H.P., IPS (AGMUT: 2017); and Manishi Chandra, IPS (AGMUT: 2017).
Out of the total promoted officers, five belong to the Jammu and Kashmir segment of the AGMUT cadre.
The promotion has been granted with the approval of the competent authority and forms part of routine cadre management to ensure effective leadership and administrative efficiency within the Indian Police Service.
The order has been signed by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.
