The annual period of Chilla-e-Kalan has begun in Kashmir, marked by rainfall and snowfall across the region. This traditional 40-day phase, observed during the winter season, is known for its cold weather and often challenging conditions.

Forecasters have reported moderate to heavy rainfall and snowfall in various parts of the valley, affecting normal daily activities and prompting authorities to advise residents to exercise caution while travelling.
