SHOPIAN: Under the government’s flagship outreach programme Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore, the district administration Shopian has intensified efforts to strengthen grievance redressal mechanisms by providing on-the-spot mutation services and expanding direct public outreach at the grassroots level.

As part of the initiative, dedicated camps were organised across various locations in the district where officials interacted directly with residents to address their grievances and service-related issues. Special focus was laid on mutation services, enabling people to get their land and revenue-related matters resolved in a timely and transparent manner.

District officials said the programme aims to bridge the gap between the administration and the public by taking government services directly to villages. Citizens were encouraged to voice their concerns, suggestions and demands, many of which were addressed on the spot, while others were taken up for prompt redressal by the concerned departments.

The outreach also included awareness about various government schemes and services, ensuring that people are well-informed about their entitlements. Officials guided beneficiaries on procedures and documentation required to avail different services.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to responsive and people-centric governance, stating that Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore is a step towards making governance more accessible, transparent and accountable at the village level.
