JAMMU, : Educational Institutions across Jammu Division organized informative and thought provoking events to mark World AIDS Day in consonance to this year’s theme “Take the right path: My health, my right!” emphasizing the importance of healthcare access and the empowerment of individuals in managing their health.
Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu: Red Ribbon Club of the Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu observed World AIDS Day, 2024 by organising Rangoli Making Competition on the theme “Take the Right Path”. The event was organised under the patronage of Dr. Rajinder Singh, Principal of the college.
GDC Vijaypur: To raise awareness about HIV-AIDS and promote healthy lifestyles, Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College, Vijaypur, in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society, Department of Health &Medical Education and Department and Higher Education Department, J&K organises Red Run for HIV/AIDS awareness.
The ‘Red Run’ witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, who came together to run in support of this noble cause. Nearly 80 Volunteers of the college actively participated in the Red Run.
Principal of the college highlighted the importance of community involvement in raising awareness and fostering a culture of prevention and care.
GDC Marh: To commemorate World AIDS Day, Red Ribbon Club Government Degree College Marh, in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society, under the aegis of Higher Education Department organised poster making and Rangoli competition in the college premises under the guidance of Principal Prof. Dr.Rakesh Kumar Koul, here today.
The students made handmade posters, beautiful Rangolis spreading awareness about prevention of HIV/AIDS. Students of 1st semester viz Navpreet Kour, Sumriti, Mehridhi, Shivani of Semester Ist and others participated in the programme.
GDC Ramgarh: Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a poster making competition to mark the World AIDS Day on this year’s theme “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right” under guidance and co-ordination of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the college.
Students of the college participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. Radhika Choudhary of Sem-I bagged first prize, Sonika of Sem- I bagged second prize and Radhana Kumari of Sem- I clinched the third prize. Two Consolation prizes were also given to Malika Choudhary and Sonakshi.
