Rajouri :With the aim of promoting a clean and healthy lifestyle in society, the Indian Army at Samote organized a ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ at Samote.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness among soldiers about the importance of cleanliness in their environment and its direct impact on health and well-being. The campaign was designed to highlight the significance of maintaining cleanliness not only for personal well-being but also for the overall health of the community and the environment.
It emphasized the link between cleanliness and a healthy society, urging participants to take proactive steps in their daily routines to ensure better waste management, improved sanitation, and better personal hygiene. The aim of the campaign was to spread awareness about the need for cleanliness in their lines and surroundings for a healthy society.
The soldiers were educated about various health problems related to waste disposal, unhygienic living conditions, sewage issues, and personal hygiene. After the campaign, a cleanliness drive was organized to clean the unit area and its surroundings. The soldiers enthusiastically participated in the event. The event culminated with all participants taking a pledge to keep their lines, surrounding areas, and countryside clean. Around 26 soldiers attended the event.
