DC Poonch reviews pendency of court cases across Departments

POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, chaired a crucial meeting today at the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the status of pending court cases across different departments.

The meeting focused on cases awaiting resolution in the subordinate courts of District Poonch, as well as in the High Court, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), National Green Tribunal (NGT), National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), and Central Information Commission (CIC). The Deputy Commissioner sought comprehensive briefings from the concerned officers regarding the current status of these cases.

During the discussions, specific cases pending for replies from various departments were examined in detail. Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to expeditious justice, DC Vikas Kundal emphasized the urgency of filing replies for pending complaints and directed all concerned departments to submit reports on outstanding cases promptly. This is crucial for legal vetting by the Law Department before final submissions are made.

The DC also stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability in handling court cases. He directed all officers involved to uphold the highest ethical standards and prioritize the community’s best interests in these legal matters.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner announced that all cases under SRO-43 have been resolved, with no pending matters remaining in that category. He encouraged a knowledge-sharing approach among departments to strengthen their legal capabilities and contribute to the overall development goals of Poonch district.

The meeting was attended by several key officials, including SSP Poonch, ADC Poonch, DFO, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineers from PWD, Jal Shakti, JPDCL, PMGSY, AD FCS & CA, ARTO, CEO MC Poonch and other concerned officers.
