Indian Army Conducts Friendly Kabaddi Match for Students at Sports Stadium, Doda

Doda : To promote harmony and inclusivity in the region, the Indian Army is conducting a friendly Kabaddi match at the Indoor Sports Stadium in Doda. The tournament will bring together youth from various backgrounds and communities to foster friendship, camaraderie, and a sense of togetherness. Local schools, colleges, and youth groups have enthusiastically joined the initiative, forming a total of four teams that will compete over the course of the tournament. This event is expected to not only showcase exceptional kabaddi talent but also highlight the spirit of unity and harmony.

The young athletes conveyed their gratitude to the Indian Army for creating this opportunity. The participants showcased not only their sporting talents but also instilled a sense of camaraderie and unity that will be cherished for years to come. A total of 80 students and 40 civilians attended the event.

The tournament, in line with the Khelo India initiative, aims to highlight and promote kabaddi as a sport, in addition to cricket and volleyball, which are quite popular among the youth in the Doda region. It provides a platform for youth to participate in a district-level tournament and empowers them to excel in sporting activities.
