Mumbai: After unveiling the title track of Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein, the makers have released the film’s second song, Usey Kehna.
Composed by music maestro A. R. Rahman with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, the soulful track features vocals by Nitesh Aher and Jonita Gandhi.
Speaking about the song’s inspiration, Rahman shared, “Usey Kehna was inspired during a trip to Himachal, where we witnessed the mountains reflected in the Ganges. That serene moment gave birth to the melody. It evolved with inputs from Aanand L Rai, Irshad Kamil, and Himanshu into something pure — just piano, strings, and the fresh voice of Nitesh. I hope listeners feel the same calm and emotion we felt while creating it.”
Director Aanand L Rai expressed, “Music is the strongest form of magic, and I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the greatest magician — A. R. Rahman — create it up close. Usey Kehna is another gem that comes straight from our hearts.”
Producer Bhushan Kumar added, “Usey Kehna captures the unspoken emotions at the heart of Tere Ishk Mein. It’s about love that’s enduring, raw, and deeply human. With Rahman’s soulful composition, Irshad Kamil’s poignant lyrics, and Nitesh Aher’s evocative voice, complemented by Aanand L Rai’s heartfelt storytelling, the song beautifully carries forward the film’s emotional essence.”
Presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colour Yellow Productions, Tere Ishk Mein is jointly produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.
Directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, the film stars Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. It is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on November 28.
