Anantnag: In its ongoing crackdown on terror networks, Anantnag Police has attached immovable property belonging to an active terrorist under the provisions of law.
The property, identified as land under Khasra No. 165 MIN at Guree, Bijbehara, is owned by Adil Hussain Thoker, son of Wali Mohammed Thoker, a resident of Guree, Bijbehara. The attachment has been carried out under Section 83 of the CrPC.
This action is linked to FIR No. 11/2023, registered under Sections 20 and 38 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Sections 2/3 of the EIMCO Act.
Police said the attachment forms part of sustained efforts to dismantle the support system of terrorism in the district. Similar actions will continue against individuals found aiding or engaging in anti-national and unlawful activities.
Anantnag Police reiterated its resolve to uphold peace, security, and the rule of law in the region.
