Mumbai: Actress Karishma Sharma, known for her roles in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Ek Villain Returns, sustained injuries after jumping from a moving local train in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Karishma shared a detailed account of the incident on her Instagram. According to her post, she was on her way to a shoot at Churchgate when she jumped from the train “out of fear” upon realizing her friends couldn’t board it with her.
“Yesterday, while heading for a shoot at Churchgate, I decided to take the train dressed in a sari. As I boarded, the train started moving, and I saw my friends couldn’t catch it. Out of fear, I jumped – but unfortunately, I fell on my back and hit my head,” Karishma wrote.
The actress sustained significant injuries to her head and back and is currently under medical observation to ensure her head injury is not serious.
“I’ve injured my back, my head is swollen, and I’m covered in bruises. The doctors recommended an MRI and have kept me under observation for a day to monitor my head injury,” she said.
Karishma also requested her fans’ prayers for a swift recovery, adding, “I’ve been in pain since yesterday, but I’m staying strong. Please keep me in your prayers for a speedy recovery and send your love – it means a lot.”
