GANDERBAL: In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad today supervised the ongoing general training for poll staff at Govt Degree College Kangan.
The training programme that began from March 25th is being conducted at three different venues across the district and will continue until March 30th, 2024.
The primary objective of this training program is to equip the poll staff with essential skills and knowledge to facilitate a seamless and efficient election process.
It covers various facets of election duty, including the operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines, the polling process, and the handling of election-related documents.
The training sessions are being conducted by District Level Master Trainers, ensuring comprehensive instruction and guidance for the poll staff.
During his visit to GDC Kangan, the ADC, along with the Deputy District Election Officer, inspected the arrangements and briefed the poll staff about their roles and responsibilities during the upcoming elections.
Emphasizing the importance of clarity and proficiency, he urged the staff to utilize the training effectively to enhance their skills and knowledge.
