Rajouri, Dec 03: Residents from Darhal, Thanamandi and other parts of Rajouri district on Wednesday met Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Malikzada Sheraz-ul-Haq to highlight pressing public concerns. The deputations sought immediate attention to damaged electric poles, pending payments under MGNREGA, and delays in Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) schemes.

Community representatives also flagged poor road connectivity in remote areas, stressing the need for faster execution of development works. Officials present during the meeting were directed by the ADDC to take note of the grievances and initiate prompt action in line with administrative norms.

Assuring the delegations of timely redressal, the ADDC reiterated that the district administration is committed to strengthening service delivery and addressing genuine demands on priority. He emphasised that such interactions are vital for bridging gaps between citizens and governance.

Locals welcomed the outreach, saying it provides a direct platform to voice grassroots issues and seek accountability from district authorities.
