Mumbai: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, held a series of meetings with leading figures and stakeholders from the film and entertainment industry on the sidelines of FICCI Frames in Mumbai.
The discussions focused on promoting Jammu and Kashmir as a premier destination for film shooting and fostering a dynamic film ecosystem in the region. The Advisor emphasized the Government’s commitment to facilitating film production in J&K, assuring filmmakers and industry representatives of full support and assistance for their projects. He also invited them to explore the scenic and diverse locations of Jammu and Kashmir for future ventures.
The delegation included senior representatives from the Producers Guild of India, National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), Motion Picture Association (MPA, USA), Prasar Bharati, Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), and other prominent film bodies and production houses.
These engagements provided a platform to strengthen collaboration between the J&K Government and the national film fraternity, aiming to revive the region’s rich cinematic legacy and establish J&K as a preferred destination for filmmakers worldwide.
