Sopore, Nov 30: Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) leader Engineer Aijaz Ahmad Guroo, brother of Afzal Guru, held a series of meetings with delegations in Sopore to hear public concerns and strengthen grassroots outreach.
Delegations included representatives of traders’ associations, youth groups, and civil society organisations, who raised issues related to unemployment, infrastructure gaps, and public welfare. They also sought greater attention to civic amenities and local development projects.
Engineer Aijaz assured the delegations that their grievances would be taken up at appropriate forums, reiterating AIP’s commitment to listening to people’s voices and reflecting their aspirations in policy discussions.
Party representatives said the Sopore meetings are part of a broader outreach initiative across North Kashmir, aimed at building trust and accountability between leadership and citizens.
Residents welcomed the outreach, noting that direct engagement with political leaders provides an opportunity to share concerns and seek solutions for local challenges.
