Akshay Kumar thanks fans on his birthday: “I’m here to say a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ for every kind gesture.”

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 58th birthday today, September 9. With a career spanning 34 years, he took to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude to fans and well-wishers who have supported him throughout his journey.

On Instagram, Akshay shared a post featuring a collage of the various characters he has portrayed in his films. In the caption, he wrote:

“Good morning, everyone! 58 years in the making, 34 years in this industry, over 150 films & counting. To everyone who ever believed in me, who bought a ticket, signed me, produced me, directed me, and guided me—this is your journey as much as mine. I’m just here to say an eternal ‘Thank You’ for every kind action, unconditional support, and words of encouragement. I am nothing without you. My birthday is a dedication to all those who still believe in me. Love & Prayers, Your Akshay… Jai Mahakal.”

He also thanked Rahul Nanda for creating the artwork capturing his cinematic journey, adding, “P.S.: Many thanks to the very talented Rahul Nanda for capturing my life’s work for my favourite people on the planet, my fans.”

Fans flooded the comments section with birthday wishes. One wrote, “Happy Birthday, inspiration,” while another said, “You will always be my first best hero.”

Akshay began his acting career in 1991 with Saugandh. His breakthrough came with the action thriller Khiladi, which established him as one of the leading action stars of the 1990s. He went on to star in the Khiladi film series, as well as other hits like Mohra (1994) and Jaanwar (1999). Over the years, he has showcased his versatility across thrillers, fast-paced dramas, comedies, and patriotic films. In recognition of his contributions to Indian cinema, he was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri.

He will next appear in the eagerly awaited Jolly LLB 3 alongside Arshad Warsi. The teaser, released on August 12, offered a glimpse of the intense yet humorous clash between the two actors. Saurabh Shukla will reprise his role as Judge Tripathi. Jolly LLB 3 is slated for release on September 19, 2025.

The first Jolly LLB released in 2013, starring Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, and Amrita Rao. Its sequel, Jolly LLB 2 (2017), featured Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles.
