Ali Fazal Starts Filming for the ‘Mizapur’ Movie Adaptation of the Hit Web Series

New Delhi: Ali Fazal is all set to return to the world of Mirzapur, having begun shooting for the film adaptation of the popular Prime Video series.

Fazal, who played the hot-headed Guddu Bhaiya in the series, shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday. Alongside a gym picture, he captioned, “GAME ON!! M – the film begins!! A new era and so we must prepare. Lots to share as we embark on this journey… coming soon…”

The movie, based on the critically acclaimed show, is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2026 through Amazon MGM Studios under the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer label.

Created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, the series starred Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Vikrant Massey, Rasika Duggal, Shweta Tripathi, and others. It follows two brothers in the lawless town of Mirzapur who inadvertently offend the son of a local crime lord, triggering a chain of events that changes their lives forever.
