Mumbai: Alia Bhatt turned heads at the 79th North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja on Wednesday.

Dressed in a stunning lehenga, she effortlessly captured the attention of fellow devotees at the pandal.

Her appearance became even more special when she eagerly greeted actress Rani Mukerji, sharing a warm hug and posing for pictures. They were joined by Ayan Mukerji and Tanisha Mukerji for a cheerful photo session.

Earlier on Monday, Alia’s husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, also visited the North Bombay Durga Puja to offer his prayers. In photos captured by photographers, Ranbir was seen standing in devotion before the idol of Goddess Durga. He also met his friend, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, at the pandal and took time to interact with other devotees, clicking pictures with them before leaving.

Durga Puja, also known as Durgotsava or Sharodotsava, is an annual Hindu festival celebrating Goddess Durga and her triumph over the demon Mahishasura. According to mythology, the goddess visits her earthly abode during this time to bless her devotees.

The festival concludes on Vijayadashami (Dussehra), the tenth day, marking Goddess Durga’s victory over Mahishasura.
