New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday extended greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, describing him as a tireless worker for public welfare and a living embodiment of the ‘nation first’ motto.
In a series of posts on X with the hashtag #HappyBdayPMModi, Shah said Modi has brought “purity to the system, firmness to decisions, and clarity to policies,” and ensured that the poor, backward, women, and tribals remain at the heart of governance.
Calling him a “symbol of sacrifice and dedication” and an “inspiration for crores,” Shah said Modi’s life journey—from the RSS to the BJP and later as Gujarat chief minister and now prime minister—reflects how firm resolve and broad vision can drive transformational change.
He said Modi’s leadership over the past 11 years has delivered world-class infrastructure like the Bogibeel bridge in Assam, the Chenab railway bridge in Kashmir, semiconductor units, and digital public infrastructure, showcasing India’s rise as a global leader. “Today, even vegetable vendors proudly display UPI—the meaning of being Narendra Modi becomes clear,” Shah added.
Highlighting Modi’s economic achievements, Shah noted that India has risen from the 11th largest economy to one of the biggest in the world, with the IMF calling it a global bright spot. “Sixty crore people are moving out of poverty—this has been possible only in the Modi era,” he said.
On the global stage, Shah said Modi is recognised as a “problem-solving leader,” honoured with the highest civilian awards by 27 countries. “In times of global conflict and crises, he has emerged as a bridge of dialogue,” Shah observed.
He further credited Modi with elevating India’s global stature—from space exploration at the Moon’s south pole to oceanic research in Dwarka—while strengthening domestic capabilities through indigenous vaccines, defence systems, startups, innovation, and fair pricing for farmers.
“Under his leadership, India is setting new milestones and building a truly self-reliant nation,” Shah said.
