New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a high-level security meeting on Thursday to review the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.
The meeting will focus on enhancing coordination among security agencies and assessing the ongoing counter-terrorism operations across the Union Territory.
According to sources, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Intelligence Bureau, Army, CRPF, BSF, and J&K Police, are expected to attend.
Top officials from Jammu and Kashmir, including the Chief Secretary and other senior officers, arrived in Delhi this evening to participate in the discussions.
Amit Shah is likely to take stock of the overall security scenario and explore measures to further strengthen inter-agency cooperation to maintain peace and stability in the region.
