On Monday, he shared an intriguing post showing several employees participating in an office dance flash mob and dancing to his song Jaanu Meri Jaan from the movie Shaan.
The video opened to show the employees joyfully dancing to the classic 1980s song while also singing the lyrics loudly. And it looks like the cheerful video has surely left Big B impressed. He took to his X account and expressed how such environments are ‘stress busters’ in the corporate culture.
With an overlay text that read, “Office–X, Swarg Lok”, the Kalki actor tweeted, “Stress busters in an office.”
Jaanu Meri Jaan is a classic song from Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor’s hit movie Shaan. The 1980 film also starred Parveen Babi and Bindiya Goswami in key roles. The song, composed by RD Burman, had the voices of Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi, Asha Bhosle and Usha Mangeshkar.
It is worth noting that the song was later recreated with a modern twist in the upcoming comedy-drama Behen Hogi Teri. The remake version, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan, has been crooned by Juggy D, Shivi and Raftaar, with some rap added to the melody for the 2017 audience.
On the cinematic front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in Section 84. The drama thriller, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, follows the captivating journey of a retired politician who tries to recover his previous glory against a backdrop of strategic plot and high-stakes decision-making. The film also features Abhishek Banerjee and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles.
The veteran actor will also reprise his role in Nag Ashwin’s film Kalki 2. Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan, the sequel is expected to go on floors this year. Believed to be inspired by the Hindu scriptures, the film is set in a dystopian future in the year 2898 AD. The drama centres around the mission to protect lab subject SUM-80’s unborn child, who is believed to be Kalki.
