Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has re-designated senior IAS officer Anil Kumar Singh of the 1995 AGMUT cadre as the new Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) following his promotion to the Apex Scale.
As per an official order, Singh’s elevation and re-designation come after the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, approved his promotion to the Apex Scale (Level-17 in the Pay Matrix) through an order issued on October 3, 2025.
With this appointment, Singh joins the top administrative ranks of Jammu and Kashmir, a role that entails major responsibilities in financial administration, policy formulation, and coordination between central and state agencies.
