SRINAGAR: Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari on Sunday said the takeover of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) schools by the J&K government should not be turned into a political tool or used to settle scores.
His remarks came a day after the administration assumed control of 215 Falah-e-Aam Trust (FAT) schools linked to JeI across the Valley.
“The government must understand that the FAT schools issue is directly tied to the future of thousands of students studying there, and public sentiments are deeply attached to it,” Bukhari said.
