Apple TV+ Monthly Prices Raised Again in Select Countries

Apple TV+ has seen multiple price increases in recent years, but the changes remain limited to monthly plans in certain regions.

The latest hike raises the subscription cost to $12.99 (around ₹1,100) per month in the US and other affected countries. New subscribers will immediately be charged the revised rate, while existing users will see the change reflected once their current billing cycle ends. Notably, the annual plan and Apple One bundles remain unchanged, and users in India will continue paying ₹99 per month.

Why Apple Raised Prices Again

Industry reports suggest Apple justifies the hike by highlighting its ad-free experience and the heavy investment in award-winning, premium content. This marks the third increase since launch, signaling Apple’s intent to grow its services revenue at a time when device sales have slowed.

Apple TV+ Now Available on Android

In a major expansion move, Apple has also launched the Apple TV+ app on Android via the Google Play Store. Android users can now subscribe directly using their Google accounts, an option unavailable until now. The app provides access to Apple Originals, movies, documentaries, and more, placing Apple TV+ in direct competition with platforms like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video.

Access Across Devices

Apple TV+ supports Family Sharing for up to five members and is available on a wide range of platforms, including Amazon Fire Stick, PlayStation, Xbox, Xfinity, Google TV, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Roku, and more. Users can also stream content directly through the web at tv.apple.com/in.
