Apple TV+ Rebranded To Apple TV: Here’s What Changes

Apple has officially rebranded its streaming service Apple TV+ to Apple TV, aligning its name with the company’s existing hardware. This move, however, could create some confusion — since Apple TV is also the name of the device that connects to your television.

Originally launched as an Apple-exclusive platform, Apple TV+ has since expanded its reach to Android devices as well. The rebranding was quietly announced in a company press release, which primarily highlighted the release of one of its exclusive films — but the key detail was the platform’s new name: no more “Plus.”

According to Apple, the rebrand is part of a new “vibrant identity,” hinting that the Apple TV hardware lineup could soon get a refreshed look or even a new name to avoid overlap. It would be unusual for Apple to keep both a device and a streaming service under the exact same name, so changes might follow in the coming months.

The newly renamed Apple TV platform continues to offer exclusive movies and shows, including the highly anticipated F1 movie starring Brad Pitt, which gained significant buzz after its theatrical release. The film is now available to stream globally on the platform.

In terms of pricing, Apple TV costs $12.99 per month in the U.S., while Indian users can subscribe for just ₹99 per month.

Apple is also gearing up for its October 2025 event, rumored to be the company’s final major launch of the year. Expectations are high for the unveiling of the new M5 chip, which is likely to power the upcoming M5 iPad Pro, a 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro, and possibly a new Vision Pro headset.

However, there’s no word yet on a new Apple TV device, suggesting that any hardware update could arrive during the company’s early 2026 launch cycle instead.
