MENDHAR/JAMMU: An Army jawan was injured in a mine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday, officials said.
The explosion occurred in the Tain Mankote forward area of Mendhar tehsil when the soldier reportedly stepped on a mine during routine patrolling, they added.
The injured jawan, identified as an Agniveer, received first aid at a nearby Army post before being airlifted to Udhampur for specialised treatment.
