RAJOURI: Indian Army troops opened fire on Tuesday morning after spotting suspicious movement near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. The alert soldiers noticed the movement of 3-4 individuals concealed by dense foliage in the Chingus area of the Keri sector.

In response, the troops fired over two dozen rounds and immediately launched a search operation in the area, supported by drone surveillance. Despite the extensive efforts, no trace of the suspected intruders was found.

Meanwhile, security forces carried out coordinated search operations at multiple locations across Poonch, Samba, and Kathua districts, as part of heightened vigilance in the region.
