RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 19: The ARTO Rajouri team on Tuesday carried out a comprehensive road-checking drive in the Gujjar Mandi–Khandli–Mehra area, intensifying its campaign for road safety and strict enforcement of transport regulations.
During the operation, 100 vehicles were inspected, leading to the issuance of 13 e-challans with an expected revenue of ₹52,500. Additionally, nine e-autos were seized and shifted to the ARTO office for violating provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Officials said the drive was conducted to ensure full compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act and Rules, aiming to curb unsafe driving practices and maintain discipline on the roads. The department has asserted that strict action will continue against violators to promote safer and more orderly traffic movement across the district.
