Srinagar, Nov 23: Police in Budgam have seized property worth Rs 35 lakh from a well-known drug peddler in the Magam area. The seizure includes a double-storey house in Mazhama, Magam, and a Maruti A-Star vehicle with registration number JK05B-4705.
The accused has been identified as Hilal Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir, named in FIR No. 29/2020 under Sections 8, 22, and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Magam. Investigations revealed that the property was purchased using proceeds from illegal drug trafficking.
Following legal procedures and supported by solid evidence, the property and vehicle were attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act. Authorities stated that the action is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug networks and confiscate assets obtained through criminal activities.
