Awantipora Police today busted an illegal sale of petroleum products operating in the area and took action against the persons involved in the unlawful activity. Acting on reliable information, a police team led by local officers conducted a raid at the identified location where petroleum products were being stored and sold without valid permission.
During the operation, a quantity of illegally procured fuel was seized on the spot. The individuals involved have been detained for questioning, and a formal case has been registered under relevant sections of law. Police have reiterated that such illegal trade poses a serious safety risk to the public and urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious or unauthorised storage or sale of petroleum products in their localities.
