Jammu – September 23, 2025: Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has inaugurated its latest authorized dealership, PPS Trucking, in Jammu, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. This milestone marks a significant step in BharatBenz’s ongoing expansion across India.
The new dealership, strategically located at Kartholi Village, Birpur on NH-44 connecting Delhi–Jammu–Srinagar, is well-positioned to serve vehicles operating between Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh. It will also cater to surrounding districts including Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, and Kishtwar, ensuring comprehensive sales, service, and spares support in a region vital for infrastructure projects.
Jammu & Kashmir continues to be a focus for infrastructure and road development, with several key projects underway, including those managed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). The city also serves as a major hub for tourist bus operations, with many BharatBenz buses already operating in the region.
Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & Chief Business Officer, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said,
“The inauguration of our new dealership in Jammu underscores BharatBenz’s commitment to expanding its presence in India’s high-growth regions. Jammu & Kashmir is strategically important due to its infrastructure projects, transport demand, and BRO fleets. Together with PPS Trucking, we will provide customers with world-class sales and after-sales support.”
The PPS Trucking facility spans 22,000 sq. ft. and features 8 service bays with the capacity to service over 2,700 vehicles annually. Equipped with advanced tools, diagnostic systems, and a wheel alignment machine, the workshop also provides 24×7 roadside assistance via two mobile vans and includes a driver restroom to ensure convenience. The facility employs a team of 35 skilled technicians.
Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director, PPS Trucking, added,
“We are excited to expand PPS Trucking’s footprint in Northern India with this new BharatBenz 3S facility in Jammu, marking our presence in the 7th state with 59 touchpoints across these regions. This facility reflects our commitment to delivering the best-in-class ownership experience, maximizing vehicle uptime, and enhancing customer profitability.”
With growing infrastructure projects, rising construction activities, and a thriving agri-trade, demand for commercial vehicles is surging in the UT. There is also increasing demand for refrigerated vehicles to support agri-produce transport. PPS Trucking plans to further strengthen its presence in Jammu & Kashmir in the coming months.
After-sales service remains a key focus of the DICV–PPS Trucking collaboration. The service centre will provide comprehensive maintenance and repair for BharatBenz trucks and buses, including preventive and scheduled programs, on-site repairs, and express service options. A robust regional spare parts inventory will ensure quick turnaround and minimize vehicle downtime.
