Mumbai: As Bigg Boss 19 inches closer to its finale, the show delivered yet another dramatic turn. After weeks of trying, Gaurav Khanna finally secured the captaincy following a high-stakes task.
In the latest episode, Bigg Boss offered Gaurav a tough deal: nominate all the housemates and sacrifice a major portion of the weekly ration, or decline and lose his shot at becoming captain. Gaurav accepted the offer, instantly earning the captaincy.
His decision, however, didn’t sit well with Shehbaz Badesha, who was also eyeing the position. Feeling the twist was unfair, Shehbaz reacted sharply inside the house.
Former contestant Kamya Punjabi weighed in on the controversy on social media. Posting on X, she noted that every housemate plays for themselves and questioned why Shehbaz was upset when Gaurav did the same.
She wrote:
“Sab apne liye hi khelte hai, toh jab Gaurav Khanna ne apne liye socha toh itni badi baat kaise ho gayi???”
Taking a dig at Shehbaz, she added:
“Last week Amaal ko captain banana ke liye kisne cheating ki thi? Aaj jaise ko taisa mila toh rona aagaya?”
In another post, Kamya strongly backed Gaurav, saying no contestant would have refused such an offer:
“Each n every player in that house would have jumped on this opportunity! Koi Mahaanta ki Murat nahi hai wahan.”
The Bigg Boss 19 finale is expected in December. The show streams on JioHotstar at 9 PM and airs on Colors TV at 10:30 PM.
