Mumbai: Superstar Salman Khan never fails to bring energy to the Bigg Boss stage, and this weekend’s Weekend Ka Vaar was no exception. Known for his straightforward hosting style, Salman once again grabbed headlines by addressing a long-standing rumor about him.

For years, he has faced accusations of allegedly harming others’ careers in the industry.

During the episode, Salman didn’t hold back. With a playful smile, he clarified, “If I were ever to ruin a career, I’d start with my own.”

Joining him on stage was Shehnaaz Gill, who requested that her brother, Shehbaz Badesha, be allowed into the house. Shehnaaz also reminded Salman of his role in supporting many aspiring talents. “Sir, aapne itne ke career banaye hain (Sir, you’ve made so many people’s careers),” she said affectionately.

Salman quickly corrected her, saying, “Maine kabhi kisika career nahi banaya. Career banane waala toh upar waala hai (I’ve never made anyone’s career; that’s in God’s hands).”

He then addressed the rumors and criticism he’s faced over the years. “Laanchan bhi daala hai ki kitne ke dubaaye hain. Specially dubaane waale toh mere haath mein hai hi nahi. Lekin aaj kal sab chalta hai, na ki career khaa jaayega. Kaunsa career khaaya maine? Par agar khao na, toh main apna khud ka career khaa jaunga. Kabhi kabhi main complacent ho jaata hoon, aur phir chhod deta hoon, aur phir wapas usko apne grip mein laane ki koshish karta hoon (People have mocked me, saying I’ve ruined careers. But that’s never in my hands. These days, everyone talks about ruining careers. Honestly, whose career have I ruined? If anything, I’d ruin my own career. Sometimes I get complacent, then I work to regain control),” he explained.

The episode also had a surprise: Shehnaaz’s brother Shehbaz entered the Bigg Boss house as the season’s first wildcard contestant. This week, no eliminations took place.

Bigg Boss 19 airs on JioHotstar and Colors TV.
